What is the application deadline and what happens after the deadline?

Applications are due by February 1, 2027. The scholarship selection committee will not consider incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline. After the application window closes, the committee may take up to three months to choose the winner, and students are asked not to contact Diaz Law Firm about application status during that time. Once selected, a representative will contact the winner to arrange the transfer of scholarship funds to the student’s chosen academic institution, and Diaz Law Firm will share a press release and blog post announcing the student’s name on its website and social media.

Applicants must also meet the scholarship’s terms and conditions, including being enrolled at an accredited United States law school, being at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment, having residency in the United States, being in good academic standing, submitting required personal and academic information, and authoring an original essay or video on the provided topic. Likewise, the committee will not review applications submitted after the February 1, 2027, deadline passes.

Selection & Award Notification Process

Students interested in applying for the How AI Is Transforming Personal Injury Cases Scholarship must complete and submit their applications by the February 1, 2027, deadline. The scholarship selection committee will not consider late applications.

When selecting its scholarship winner, the team will consider the quality of a student’s work and original ideas. Age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, or other protected classes will have no influence on the committee’s decision.

Once the winner is selected, a representative will contact the student to arrange the transfer of scholarship funds to their chosen academic institution. Diaz Law Firm will then share a press release and blog post announcing the student’s name on its website and social media.
