Veterans and Their Families Prepare to File Camp Lejeune Water Contamination Claims

Camp Lejeune is a United State Marine Corps base in North Carolina. For over three decades, between 1953 and 1987, the camp’s water supply was contaminated with toxic substances. The contamination resulted in exposure limits of up to 280 times over safe exposure limits. Millions of Marines, families, and civilian workers were exposed and may have developed life-altering, debilitating, and life-ending illnesses while serving their country.

The toxic water has affected thousands of families. Congress has drafted, and will soon pass, the Camp Lejeune Justice Act, which is included in the Sergeant First Class Robinson Honoring Our Pact Act. Once this Act is signed into law, veterans and their families may file claims against the Government. The claims seek to obtain compensation and justice for injuries or wrongful death caused by exposure to the contaminated water at Camp Lejeune.

Getting into an accident is the last thing someone expects to happen, but when it happened to me I am grateful to have known about Tripp Segars with Diaz Law Firm. He walked me through the whole process and answered any questions I had. He fought to get me everything I needed to recover. I truly appreciate the time and dedication he put into my case. I would recommend him for anyone who needs help with a personal injury case.

I was recommended to Diaz Law firm after getting into a car Accident in 2024, after connecting with them, they were able to handle my case quickly and efficiently with the most satisfactory results that I could ask for. My accident was in July, I connected with them in August and my case was fixed by November after providing them with all the info that they needed and could use. 5 stars for the speed, service, and results and would highly recommend for anybody in need of an attorney.

Tripp from the Diaz Law Firm helped me when I was in a bad motorcycle crash. He helped me get justice, and I'm really thankful for him. Tripp kept in contact with me every step of the way, and I don't know what I'd do without him. Thanks so much, Mr. Tripp! -Adam
