Mr. Johnson was raised in Jackson, Mississippi and is a proud product of Jackson Public Schools. His earliest role model, albeit clichéd, was the fictional character of Atticus Finch. At an early age, he realized that lawyers could and should be more than just hired guns. He believes that attorneys should advocate strongest for those without a voice.
Mr. Johnson graduated with honors from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006. While at Southern, he was an active member of United Students against Sweatshops. He attended the University of Mississippi School of Law. While at the University of Mississippi, he interned with the Mississippi Innocence Project and volunteered with North Mississippi Rural Legal services.
Mr. Johnson practiced as a sole practitioner for three years before joining the Diaz Law Firm. During that time, he represented numerous clients across the greater Jackson Area in matters of family, criminal, and personal injury law.
Since joining the Diaz Law Firm, Mr. Johnson has focused on mass torts and products liability. He has represented clients who suffered injuries from pharmaceutical drug products such as Avandia. He continues to represent clients affected by the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill of 2010.
Mr. Johnson stays active in the local community by playing with the Mississippi Swing and serving on the board of the Mississippi Community Symphonic Band. He also enjoys the outdoors be it through kayaking, cycling, hiking, or amateur astronomy.
